South facing conservatory in Portishead
This Lean-to/Infill conservatory in Portishead, has been designed as a light and practical space, to be used as a midway point between the garden and the house.
Finished with white upvc and stone walling to match, this conservatory looks like part of the original house rather than an extension. And as the stonework weathers, it will look more in-keeping.
This has been installed in a south facing position, so both the roof and frames have been fitted with ‘Ambi-SunShade Blue’ glass, which is self-cleaning, and provides 80% solar heat reflection.
In addition to this, we have installed a combination of top-openers, to provide air flow, and a roof vent, which allows the heat to escape more efficiently.
The internal skin of the walls is finished in stone as well, giving a more external feel to the room. Once the floor is tiled, then anyone can escape any potential rain, without traipsing into the house.
…including the cat.
Garden Room in Congresbury
This conservatory is already featured in our website gallery, but was completed many years ago, back in 2010.
it is slightly unique in comparison to most conservatories that we have erected over the years, in that it has no access from the main house.
Aptly named, 'The Garden Room' by the satisfied owners, this space provides a solitary area for peace and quiet, away from any day-to-day distractions.
With a full glass-to-ground design, to really bring the outside in, this elegant, double-hipped lean-to with a gable front, has really has settled into its intended purpose.
With a span of 5.6m and a 2.75m projection, and a cream foil finish to compliment the rendered finish of the house, this is definitely a conservatory to be proud of.
Double-Hipped Edwardian in Backwell
Through all the rain and no shine, our dedicated team has completed a fantastic Double-Hipped Edwardian in Backwell.
This is a classic Ultraframe roof with 'Activ Blue', Low Emissivity roof glass, which is argon filled to improve thermal performance.
It has glazing on two elevations to maximise the view of a well kept garden. It also has a full height wall on the neighbours side to maintain a level of privacy.
This expansive space has been designed with the intention of being used as a 'garden room' where the owners can enjoy their garden, without some of the distractions that a home can bring.
As with all our conservatories, this one has been 'Custom' built with all the aspects that the customer needs. Its warm, light and relaxing, and a great space to enjoy with family & friends.
Glazed Porch in Bristol
We have recently completed this classy addition to an already lovely home. Although it is only a small space (as is typical with any porch) it provides great practicality.
to create this modest extension, we were able continue down from the existing roof, as shown in the picture the on the left. As the tiles weather, the roof will begin to look seamless and appear as though it is part of the original structure.
Having this porch now means that the customer doesn't have to walk straight in to a clean hallway, from outside. They can now remove dirty shoes in the porch area first. having this extension also means there are two exterior doors, increasing existing security for the home.
On completion, the frames of this porch have been finished with a 'Light Oak' foil to match the existing oak timber door, and the glazing is "A" Rated to ensure heat is retained inside.
The dwarf walls have been constructed in brickwork to mirror the existing wall, which in-turn has been plastered and decorated to match all the other internal walls.
All-in-all, another job well done by all trades involved, and a big thank you to another customer for choosing Custom Conservatories to complete their project.
