This innovative door type has been gaining popularity over recent years as homeowners look to reduce the barrier between indoor and outdoor living. Bi-fold doors help to create an unexpected feeling of space in a room even when closed due to the large glass area available. When in the open position they form a clear, uninterrupted opening between house and garden.

Even the threshold can be flush with the floor to avoid a step or trip hazard. Where choice was previously limited to either patio doors (where less than half of the structural opening can be used as a doorway) or French doors (which can only accommodate limited width) you can now have an almost unlimited clear opening by connected folding doors together.

Each door slides effortlessly on smooth runners and needs only minimum effort to go from the secure closed position to the full panoramic open position in seconds. Depending on the number of doors and your chosen configuration, there is the option of a single opening door to allow access without using the full opening or a pair of traditional French doors to allow partial use.

Fitting Bi-fold doors to your conservatory is the ultimate merger of indoor and outdoor living, combining excellent insulation and weather proofing for those days when you want to keep the weather out, with the ability to open up your conservatory to make the most of summer days.

Seen here in an ideal application, fitted to a P shaped conservatory on our show site at Cadbury Garden Centre, Bi-folding doors are the ultimate enhancement to your conservatory
